Vinyl at Hard Rock Hotel | Las Vegas
Two months ago I stumbled upon a live music video of these guys by the name of Don Broco performing their song ‘Everybody’. It instantly drew me in with the catchy hooks and chorus and by the end of the video I had the band’s record Automatic added to my Spotify playlist favorites. As fate would have it, shortly after seeing this first video, I learned the English boys would be coming to the states while supporting State Champs.
This was the band’s first time performing in Las Vegas and they made sure to make a big impression quick. A few people I had spoken to at the show already knew about Don Broco and were just as excited as I was. Opening with ‘Everybody’, nearly the entire crowd got behind the band and was ready to party the rest of the set. It was during the first song or two that guitarist Simon Delaney showed off his impressive flexibility by being able to nearly kick his leg up higher than I thought possible in jeans. The rest of the set included songs from Automatic such as ‘You Wanna Know’, ‘Superlove’, ‘What You Do To Me’, and finishing with ‘Money Power Fame’. Frontman Rob Damiani and his interesting floral print shirt worked on getting the crowd hyped nearly the whole set with jumping around stage. The guy was like an energizer bunny and just didn’t stop the entire time. One thing that stood out to me was how great Rob and drummer Matt Donnelly sounded vocally. Both of these guys sounded just as good, if not better, live as they do on the record. Definitely recommend everyone to catch these guys live at least once or twice. I wish nothing but bigger future success for these guys because I honestly can not wait to catch them back in Las Vegas sometime soon. They brought everything they had to this performance and it was a blast to watch. Find the full set list below along with a link to the band’s spotify page.
